The Ohio Wetlands Foundation has developed an
extensive network of private and public partners wishing to complete
stream and wetlands restoration-protection projects throughout Ohio.
If you have a project that is not located within a mitigation bank
service area, please contact us to see if we have an individual
and/or consolidated mitigation project that will work for you.
The Ohio Wetlands Foundation completes these
projects as "turn key" mitigation projects. In other words, we
identify the site, acquire it, complete the engineering plans,
construction, monitoring and ensure project success as per the terms of
your permit.
Currently, Ohio Wetlands has three ongoing
consolidated wetlands and stream mitigation projects. These
projects are meant to accommodate the mitigation needs of multiple
applicants. The first of these projects is called YANKEE CREEK and it
serves the PITTSBURGH CORPS DISTRICT. The second is the Granger
Wetlands and it serves the Black and Rocky Fork Watersheds in the
Buffalo District. The third is called CAESAR
CREEK and it serves the Huntington CORPS DISTRICT. If you have
a project that needs a mitigation alternative in these Corps Districts
please contact Ohio Wetlands Foundation as there still are mitigation
opportunities available at each of these projects.
