The Ohio Wetlands
Foundation is continually seeking wetland restoration opportunities.
The land must have a dominance of hydric soils, be controlled by the
interested party(ies) and have a reliable source of hydrology. In
addition, the landowner(s) must be willing to either sell the land or to
have a permanent conservation easement placed upon the restored,
enhanced and/or preserved wetlands and adjacent uplands.
The Ohio Wetlands
Foundation:
- Partners with public entities such
as
cities, counties, park districts, state and federal agencies
- Partners with private entities
willing to restore wetlands on their land. Private sites should be
in excess of 20 acres although, some smaller sites are suitable.
