Area Information
Ohio EPA Wetland
Water Quality Standards and Isolated Wetland Permit regulations allow
impacts to
Category 1 wetlands to be mitigated at any
mitigation bank located within the boundaries of the
the same U.S. Army Corps of Engineers District boundary in Ohio.
The lowest-priced
mitigation credits in the Buffalo Corps District are available from the
Three Eagles Mitigation Bank. The lowest-priced mitigation credits in
the Huntington Corps District are available from the Slate Run & Little
Scioto Mitigation
Bank.
Most Ohio Wetlands
Foundation mitigation banks are located in the watershed (or the
watershed adjacent to) where the majority of development is occurring. If
you need off site mitigation for impacts to wetlands that are not
located within the service area of a mitigation bank, contact Ohio
Wetlands Foundation to see if they have
individual or consolidated wetlands mitigation projects available in
your area.
